1. Who we are

Cetchup is a household organization app operated by Cetchup, Inc., a Tennessee corporation ("Cetchup," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and app, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

It applies to cetchup.io and the Cetchup mobile and web applications.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

CategoryWhat it includes
AccountEmail address, first and last name, profile image URL, password (stored only as a cryptographic hash)
HouseholdHousehold name, the members you invite, and their roles
Family membersNames and related details you enter for children or other household members who do not have their own accounts
ContentTasks, schedules, events, notes, and any files or images you upload
Beta signupIf you join the waitlist, your email address and the date you signed up

Information from connected services

Only if you explicitly connect them:

  • Gmail. When you connect a Google account, we access messages in order to identify tasks and calendar events. We store message metadata and content necessary to show you what was extracted and why.
  • Google Calendar. If you enable calendar sync, we create and update events you confirm.
  • OAuth credentials. We store encrypted access and refresh tokens, the scopes you granted, and the connected email address, so the connection persists without asking you to sign in repeatedly.

Information collected automatically

  • Log and diagnostic data — IP address, device and browser type, timestamps, and error reports
  • Usage data — which features are used, to find bugs and understand what to improve

Payment information

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are submitted directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We retain only a Stripe customer identifier, your subscription status, and trial end date.

3. Google account data and Limited Use

Cetchup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, for data obtained through Google APIs:

  • We use it only to provide and improve features you can see — extracting tasks and events, and syncing confirmed events to your calendar.
  • We do not transfer it to others except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition where it remains subject to this policy.
  • We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not allow humans to read it, except with your explicit consent for a specific issue you have reported, where required by law, or on aggregated anonymized data for internal operations.
  • We do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

You can disconnect a Google account at any time in Cetchup's settings, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Once revoked, we stop syncing and delete stored tokens.

4. How AI processing works

Cetchup uses AI to read emails and uploaded documents and pull out tasks, dates, and events, so you do not have to enter them manually.

This processing happens inside Google Cloud. We use Google Cloud Vertex AI, running within our own Google Cloud project. Your email and document content is not sent to a separate third-party AI company.

Under Google Cloud's terms for Vertex AI, content submitted for processing is not used to train Google's models, and Google processes it as our data processor rather than for its own purposes.

AI extraction is imperfect. It may misread dates, miss items, or produce incorrect results. Extracted items are presented for your review, and you remain responsible for verifying anything that matters.

5. Information about children

Cetchup is designed for adults managing a household. Children do not create accounts and cannot sign in. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to register.

An adult household member may enter information about a child — typically a first name, and details such as activities or schedule items. That information is provided by the adult, is visible only within their household, and is used solely to display the household's schedule and tasks. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not build profiles from it.

A parent or guardian may review, correct, or delete a child's information at any time within the app, or by contacting us at privacy@cetchup.io. Deleting a household member removes their associated information.

6. How we use information

  • To provide the service — organizing tasks, schedules, files, and household members
  • To extract tasks and events from content you connect or upload
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure
  • To process subscriptions and send billing notices
  • To send service messages such as reminders, security alerts, and account notices
  • To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your content to serve advertising.

7. Who we share information with

We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes below:

ProviderPurpose
Google Cloud PlatformHosting, database, file storage, and AI extraction via Vertex AI
StripeSubscription payments
SendGridTransactional email delivery
Google APIsGmail and Calendar integration, only where you connect them

We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case this policy continues to apply until you are given notice of any change.

Members of your household can see the household's shared content. Choose who you invite accordingly.

8. How long we keep information

  • Account and household data — while your account is active
  • After deletion — removed from production systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within 90 days
  • OAuth tokens — deleted as soon as you disconnect the account or revoke access
  • Billing records — retained as long as required by tax and accounting law, typically seven years
  • Beta waitlist emails — until launch or until you ask us to remove you

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, store passwords only as salted hashes, encrypt OAuth tokens, restrict administrative access, and rely on Google Cloud's infrastructure security.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

10. Your rights and choices

  • Access and correct — view and edit your information in the app
  • Delete — delete your account in settings, or email us
  • Disconnect — remove a Gmail or Calendar connection at any time
  • Export — request a copy of your data
  • Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from any marketing email. Service and billing messages are not optional while your account is active.

Email privacy@cetchup.io for any of these. We respond within 30 days.

11. US state privacy rights

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, to obtain a portable copy, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise these rights, or to appeal a decision, contact privacy@cetchup.io. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

12. International users

Cetchup is operated from the United States and information is processed there. If you use the service from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Cetchup after a change means you accept the updated policy.
